Literature Review

Literature Review
By reading of the sources that i have collected in order to help me write my paper i am able to write a literature review.
2003 Statistic Scoiety states that in a case control study of minor traffic incidents in Toronto suggested a 4-6 increase of risk. The study shows that adverse effect is both non-hand held phones and hand held phones, which shows the main issue is distraction of attention. 2004 Dr. Mae- Wan Ho suggests that the most popular users of mobile phones are teenagers and the level of damage to their new cells is worrying. He says " It may result in reduced reserved brain capacity. So the teenagers brains may age prematurely. Studies showed that 80% of 11 to 14 year olds have a mobile phone in the United Kingdom. Ling 2004 also states that teenagers are most likely to be effected by the effects of mobile phones ,and are likely to suffer problems later on in life. Especially if they have excessive use of their mobile phones.

Research Paper

Research Paper
I am going to write a research paper about mobile phones and their effect on society. I have created a mind map to help me with my research paper.Below is the mind map that i created to help me with my research paper.

By lookng at my mind map i have decided on the question for my paper to answer. This will give the paper a purpose and will also help me to write it because i will be trying to answer a question. The question will be " How have mobile phones effected society over the years?" .
Within the paper i will try and explain and show how mobile phones have gradually effect society as time has gone on.

Vark Questionnaire

Vark Questionnaire

I completed the vark questionnaire online to see what my learning style is, because this can help to see how i learn best. Also it can help me with my learning techniques. Once i had completed the questionnaire it told me the type of learner that i am, my result was a Multi-Modal learner. This means that i have multiple preferences. My results from the questionnaire were :Visual: 11Aural: 12Read/Write : 11Kinesthetic: 7When i got the result of a Multi-Modal learner it was quite interesting because i didn't really know what type of learner i was. I wasn't suprised to recieve this result because i weren't sure on my learning type. The learning style that i got the lowest on was Kinesthetic. A Kinesthetic learner, learns through moving, doing an touching things. To enchance my performance of this style i could include myself more in group work and also have a more hands on approach to topics and projects

My Learning Timeline and SWOT Analysis

My Learning Timeline

Throughout my life so far I have had many opportunities , which have enabled me to learn new skills and tools that I have learnt to use in different situations in my life.

Over the years I have learnt to use these skills, for example during my time at sixth form a big group of us went on a school trip to lambourne end activity centre. This was a very good trip because enabled everyone to gain new skills and improve on some of their skills. I think the trip helped me to gain more confidence and also helped me to work better in a team because there were alot of team buliding exercises . Everyone had to work together in order to get the tasks completed correctly.

When I have finished my time at University I would like to move on in my life . I would really like to be a web designer because i like the idea of designer websites for clients and for other businesses. I think it is useful to gain experience with smaller companies before I move on to a bigger company because employers like people with experience. I would like to work for a big company in the future and hopefully become successful in this field of work.

SWOT Analysis

I think that my Strengths are that I find writing essays reasonable easy. I also have good computer skills and I can also manage my time effectively. I am also organised and a good listener these are quite good strengths. I am also a very friendly person and am happy to talk to anyone.

My Weaknesses are that I’m not a very confident person and I am quite shy when I first meet people, I become more confident when I get to know people. I am also not very confident in giving presentations to a big audience.

My Opportunities at University are that I can learn new skills and software; this will be very useful to me in the future. Another Opportunity is that I will be able to meet new people and also I will hopefully be able to get a good career in the future by having this qualification.

My Threats while at university are that I will have to pay a student loan back and also another threat may be if I have a lack of money. These are threats that I won’t have to worry about during my time at university; I will need to worry about them in the future once I have finished at university.
